Andy Warhol said that anyone can have their share of 15 minutes of fame. With YouTube and reality shows coming to the fore, this statement rings truth. But fame is a fickle mistress. One time you’re the toast of the next time you’re nobody. What does it take to have a durable career in show business? What does it take to be renowned as an artist, not a star?
Anyone can spend countless hours at the gym to have a killer bod. Advances in medicine and science has made facelifts and cheap breast enhancement more affordable and accessible. But how do you stand out from the pack? Sure, the above-mentioned actors have invested in their looks. But at the end of the day, their durability in Hollywood stems from the fact that they have honed their skills in their beloved craft and have paid their dues. They have learned from the masters and this has paid dividends in their careers. Beautiful faces are aplenty, but genuine talent and skill is hard to come by. If you’re considering a career in the movies, invest in your education via acting schools- Method, Improv, GOTE, etc. And when you’ve honed you’re skills, you’ll be ready to bask in the limelight.
